Boston Latin's School chapter of HOSA focuses on expanding student's knowledge of healthcare. We often host career panels and occasionally have guest speakers come in to talk about their journey/career in healthcare. We provide free tutoring for students to prepare for HOSA competitions and teach general lessons about various topics such as medical terminology. In Spring, there is a Leadership Conference where you can network with healthcare professionals and compete in different healthcare topics for prestigious awards and scholarships. Throughout the year we host various fundraisers to raise money for these competitions and lower the costs for all members who want to participate. This way, this experience isn't limited to specific people and it's inclusive to everyone. An example of our fundraisers is the Forensics Event we held on Halloween which educated people on the medical aspect behind casing a crime scene.
